There are some descent swimming and snorkling spots around, however not the best Indonesia has to offer, but as a compliment with the volcano, it does make it satisfying.

A monitor lizard on Krakatau. These are no dangerous for humans, but more interested in barbequed fish - and will get attracted to the smell of food around the camp site, so there is a big chance you might see one.
