Bromo volcano, East Java, Indonesia – 15-17th December 2023. Incandescent glow from the crater floor.

Activity of the Volcano:

Bromo was seen emitting white plumes to heights of between 100-1000+m above the summit crater. Incandescent glow from several fumaroles was observed in on the crater floor of Bromo was observed from drone on both 16th and 17th December.

Bromo is currently on alert level 2 (Waspada), as of today 18th December 2023. A 1km restriction zone from the crater is currently in effect.
