Slamet have seen a increase in seismicity in July-August 2019, and the alert level of the volcano was subsequently raised to Level 2 (Waspada) on the 9th August 2019.

The restriction/danger zone for Slamet is as of 29th July at 2km from the summit-crater, recommended by the Indonesian `Center for Volcanology and Geology and the volcano is at Level 2.
